Genuine Salvation takes place when a person truly acknowledges that they are a sinner, believes in their heart that Christ died on the cross for their sin and believes that He rose from the dead to grant them eternal life. Genuine salvation is not just simply having a belief in God, as there are many people who believe there is a God, or some higher power at work. It is truly acknowledging the incredible sacrifice that God made in allowing His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us and then placing our trust in Jesus, as our Lord and Saviour. God’s motivation to save us was purely His LOVE for us and desire that we should live eternally with Him in Heaven - John 3:16 ‘For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.’
